Silver Powers - Chapter 4

I don’t own Sailor Moon.  Please don’t sue me, I 
have no money.  

I do own the characters and the powers I 
introduce in this story are mine.  All the 
Silver powers and the four moon generals as well 
as most of Cape Boy’s powers and all of the 
Prince’s guards’ powers are mine. Also, in this, 
even though Serena hasn’t been Sailor Moon since 
before Reenie was born, she still has the power 
to be Sailor Moon.

The Same Day

	“Serenity!  It’s Sailor Mars again!” Venus 
said as I walked into the palace from the 
gardens.
	“Kami Sama, what else is going to go wrong 
this day!” I said as we rushed to the infirmary.
	“Serenity, we can’t keep her down and 
Jupiter is starting to show signs of the same 
symptoms!” Mercury said as I rushed in.
	“Get Jupiter on a bed and Haruka, hold down 
Sailor Mars.”
	“Serenity, what are we going to do?” Sailor 
Uranus asked after her transformation.
	“We’re going to wait this out and help each 
other!  I may never be Sailor Moon again damn 
it, but I will not sit back and watch my friends 
suffer when I have knowledge that may save them 
some suffering!” I screamed.
	“I really truly hope she doesn’t lose the 
ability to be Sailor Moon.  She’s going 
ballistic.” Neptune whispered to Uranus.
	“I heard that.” I said as we all burst out 
laughing.  “I’m sorry you guys, but this is just 
driving me absolutely crazy.”
	“Serenity, it’s okay.  Really, we know this 
is tearing you apart.  Right now, let’s focus on 
Sailor Mars.” Uranus said as we looked at Raye’s 
convulsing body.
	“It hurts!  It hurts!” Mars yelled as the 
power of her crystal ripped through her body.
	“Haruka, we’re going to do this just like 
we did with Venus.”
	“Just say the word and I’ll let her go.” 
Uranus said as I waited a second.
	“Now!  Silver Crystal Extract!” I screamed.  
“Sailor Mars, your birthright.” I said as she 
smiled at me.
	“I’m not tired.  Let’s get on with my 
training.”
	“Not now Mars.  You must rest.  Uranus, 
Venus, meet me in the War Room in ten minutes, 
we have much to discuss.” I said as I received 
peculiar looks from the Senshi.  I walked out of 
the room and headed to the War Room.
	“Why does she want us to meet in the War 
Room?  She never goes in there.  Haruka, what do 
you make of it?” Venus asked as they got Mars 
and Jupiter comfortable.
	“Who knows.  With all that’s been happening 
lately, this does not surprise me in the least.  
Mercury, is there anything else we can do?” 
Uranus said.
	“Nope.  Go ahead and meet with the Queen.” 
Mercury said as Uranus and Venus took off for 
the War Room to meet with me.

In the War Room

	“Serenity, what’s wrong?” Venus asked as 
she sat down.
	“As soon as Mars has recovered, I’m sending 
you two, Mercury, and Mars on a mission.”
	“What’s the mission, and why can’t the 
others come too?” Uranus asked me.
	“The reason I’m keeping the others here is 
because they’ll all be getting their powers 
while you’re gone.  Yes, I know Uranus will be 
getting her Silver powers as well, but I think 
Neptune and Saturn will be after Jupiter.  As 
for the mission, you’ll be fully briefed once 
Mars is feeling better.  I want to know, out of 
Mercury and Mars, who do you feel more 
comfortable with?”
	“Why do you ask?” Venus asked me.
	“Because, I have to split you up into 
groups of two.  Venus, who do you feel more 
comfortable with?”
	“Doesn’t matter to me.  I guess, knowing 
Haruka is more comfortable with Mercury, I'll go 
with Mars.”
	“Uranus, is that okay with you?”
	“Yeah, I guess.” 
	“Okay, I want you girls to get some rest.  
Tomorrow, you’ll leave.” I said as the girls 
left the War Room.
	“Serenity, are you sure Uranus won’t be 
next?” a voice asked from the shadows.
	“I can’t be entirely sure Pluto, but I think 
so.  Setsuna, why is this happening to me?” I 
asked as she walked out of the shadow and sat in 
a chair.
	“I can’t be sure my queen.  All I can tell 
you, as I said before, is that I believe 
everything will workout for the best when all is 
said and down.  Now, you must go train Sailor 
Mars.  I shall see you soon.” Pluto said before 
she disappeared into a portal.
	“Always mysterious yet comforting, aren’t 
you Sailor Pluto?” I asked to the wind.  I could 
swear I heard a reply but shrugged it off and 
went to the infirmary where Sailor Mars was 
getting ready for her session with me.

	“So, meatball head, what do I need to know 
about this crystal of mine?” she asked.
	“Sailor Mars, please refrain from calling 
me that.  Anyway, you’re new transformation call 
is ‘Silver Mars Crystal Power’, and your new 
attack is ‘Silver Ruby Fire Melt’.  Let’s go to 
the outside to the training grounds so you can 
practice.” I said as we walked out of the 
infirmary.
	“Uranus and Venus told me and Mercury about 
the mission.  How can you be so sure we can 
handle whatever it is?” she asked as we stepped 
out onto the grass.
	“Simple, I know all of you well enough to 
know that you can handle this very simple 
mission.  Especially now that three out of four 
of you have your silver powers.”
	“Why send Haruka when you could wait and 
send Jupiter?”
	“Because, I fear it might be a few days 
before Jupiter’s crystal is extracted and 
Neptune is possibly to follow instead of 
Haruka.”
	“Oh.  Well, we’re here.  Let’s get this 
over with.” Mars replied as we faced each other.  
“Serena, no matter what, in my heart, as well as 
those of the others, you’ll always be Sailor 
Moon.  I don’t think it was ever the power of 
the Moon or the Silver Crystal that gave you the 
power to be her, it was always the power of your 
love and the power within your own heart.  All 
you’ve ever had to do is believe.”
	“Thank you Raye.  I appreciate it.  Now, 
why don’t you try your new powers.” I said as 
tears formed in my eyes as I watched and 
listened to Sailor Mars do her transformation.
	“SILVER MARS CRYSTAL POWER!” she shouted 
and was engulfed in a silvery red glow.  “SILVER 
RUBY FIRE MELT!” she screamed as she melted a 
metal post with a silvery reddish arrow from her 
crystal.
	“Well done Sailor Mars.  Why don’t you go 
and meditate.  I have a feeling your guardian 
will be along shortly.”
	“My guardian?”
	“The guardian of your planet.  I believe 
it’s your mother.” I said as she smiled at me 
then took off for her quarters.  “Thank you 
Sailor Mars.” I said as the melody of music 
filled the air. (‘Nothing At All’, from the Luna 
Rock C.D. plays in the background.)  In case 
you’ve never heard the song, here are the words.

Sailor Mars’ Quarters

	“Raye.  Raye.”
	“Mother?  Is that you?”
	“Princess Raye of Mars, Sailor Mars, Second 
in command of the Moon Princess’ Inner Guard, it 
is time for you to learn of your silver powers.  
Sailor Mars, come with me.” The Queen of Mars 
said as Raye fell into a deep trance.
	“Where are we?” Raye asked.
	“We are on Mars, in the Royal Palace where 
you grew up.  Sailor Mars, do you understand 
what’s going on?”
	“Yes, sort of.”
	“Well, this is the ultimate level for a 
Sailor Senshi.  Your Silver Powers can only be 
surpassed by the powers you will receive as the 
Queen of Mars.  That too, is coming before too 
long.  Neo Queen Serenity has already told you 
basically what you need to know.  What she 
didn't tell you, cause she didn’t know, is that 
all your attacks as Sailor Mars and Super Sailor 
Mars have been power boosted.  They are much 
stronger now and you can use all of them as 
Silver Sailor Mars.”
	“Really?”
	“Yes.”
	“Mother, what do you think is going to 
happen to Sailor Moon?”
	“Raye, she’s going to get a few visits from 
her guardians.  She’ll be okay.  I have to talk 
to you though about something very important.  
Before long, Princess Mars, the Neo Queen is 
going to have a time come when several things 
may seem like they went wrong, but I assure you, 
she’ll be all right.  All you must do, Sailor 
Mars, is do what you’ve done from the start.  
Protect her Raye.  Protect her and be there for 
her as you and the others always have been.  
Now, it’s time you go back.  Your new mission 
will begin soon.  I love you.”
	“I love you too Mother.” Raye said as she 
slid back to the conscious world.  “Serenity, 
I’m always here for you.” 

In the War Room, that afternoon

	“So, now that all four of us are here, you 
want explain what’s going on?” Uranus asked me 
as we all sat down.
	“Endymion, please.” I said as he turned out 
the lights and turned on the computer.
	“Ladies, your mission is to find the Moon 
and Earth generals.  We have their last known 
locations.  Now, I’m warning you, they don’t 
know who they are.  The Earth generals only know 
what happened during the reign of Beryl and that 
Sailor Moon healed them.  Now, the Moon generals 
don’t know anything except about the last days 
of the Moon kingdom and Silver Millennium.  Now, 
Venus and Mars, you’ll be going after the Earth 
Generals cause they’ll remember you best.  
Mercury and Uranus, you’ll be going after the 
Moon generals cause they know Haruka very well.  
Report in every twelve hours.  Once you find 
them or after three days, report back here.  If 
you find them, contact Artemis, Luna, Sailor 
Saturn, Chibi Moon, Serenity, or myself.  Uranus 
and Mercury, should Sailor Uranus start her 
silver powers, come back immediately.  Good luck 
and good hunting.” Endymion said as they raced 
out of the War Room toward the private fighter 
planes with their plans in hand.
	“Think they’ll make it?” I asked.
	“Positive.” He said as he took my hand and 
we watched the two planes leave the palace 
grounds.
