Hey there minna-san! This is the very last chapter of New Snow! (*sniff... sniffle... sniff...*) I’m sad. It’s over now. But it was fun and I would like to thank all of the wonderful people that e-mailed me and were so kindly patient while I finished up my sophomore year of high school. I would like to dedicate this chapter to my very best friends: the AnimeNoHito! They are such great friends! I love them! Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given me! Especially V-chan for helping me through some hard times! Thank you all SO much! You have no idea how grateful I am to you! Um, sadly, I STILL don’t own Sailor Moon! And I STILL have NO money, so please don’t sue me! Check out the AnimeNoHito web page at: http://www.crosswinds.net/~animegals/ (And PLEASE sign the guestbook!) And now on to Sailor Pluto’s promise! New Snow by Chichiri Chapter 14- Awakening World Setsuna appeared in one of the bedrooms of the palace. She concentrated very hard on breaking the spell she had lain there a little over one thousand years ago. The crystal that had encased every form of life, plant and animal alike, on this planet and the other planets of the Universe slowly melted away. For the first time in a thousand years a bird alighted on the windowsill and began to sing its morning song as though it had just sung it yesterday. The girl in the bed began to stir. Her eyes fluttered open and she stretched. Yawning, she got up and walked over to the window on shaky legs. She looked at the bird and then out into the sky where the Bright Star was just coming up over the horizon as the other stars began to fade. She looked at the bright planets that were still visible in the lightening sky. Then she looked down at the ground from her second-story window. Her heart leapt with joy at the sight of life beginning to live again. She turned and saw Setsuna. “Sailor Pluto? Setsuna-san?” she asked. “Yes, it is I, the Guardian of Time,” Setsuna replied coolly. “I have come to fulfill my promise to you.” “Is it real?” she asked hopefully. “Or is this some cruel dream? Are we really free?” “This is no dream,” Setsuna said without emotion. “I have come to awaken you one thousand years after I put you to sleep.” “Then Princess Serenity has won? She is still safe?” she asked. “Yes, Princess Serenity has defeated the Negaverse. Now it is their turn to be sealed off, hopefully for eternity. Your Universe of Light is free and your sister is safe. Princess Serenity has brought her Universe and yours a new beginning. If you think you will be all right here, I must return to my post at the Gates of Time. Will you be able to reestablish your world alone, Princess?” Setsuna asked with a curtsy. “Yes, I will be fine,” she answered. “I will be better than I have been in one thousand years. My people will gladly help me rebuild our world, though I don’t know if we are ready for contact with the Universe of the Moon again yet. I will know when it is the right time to contact Serenity. You may return to the Gates of Time when you wish. Thank you so much for all that you have done for us. We can never repay you enough. Call upon us if ever you need anything. We will be proud to call you a friend and ally.” “And I am proud to call you and your people friends and allies as well,” Setsuna said without emotion. She watched Princess Aurora go off to tend to her awakening world, and in spite of herself, she could not help but smile a little. Peace and life had been restored to the Universe of Light and soon everything would be right again. Serenity and Aurora would be reunited at last. Setsuna took one last look at the awakening world through the window. A single tear fell down her cheek as she disappeared to return to her lonely position as the eternal Guardian of Time. All right peoples! New Snow is officially over! This chapter was a lead-in to the sequel, but I’m going to write the prequel first. The Universe of Light and Princess Aurora will be explained more in Sunset, the prequel to New Snow! Are you excited? Angry? Bored? Glad that I finished this story so you can get on with your life? Please let me know! (runnerup2001@netscape.net) I really want to know! (runnerup2001@netscape.net) Will you read other stories by me? Are you happy that I’m doing a prequel and a sequel to New Snow?
