Hi-hi minna-san! How’s it going? I hope you’re all well and I would like to thank you very much for reading my story. I really appreciate it! Anyways, I bet you’re dying to find out what happens next so I’ll stop blabbing now. I’ll blab some more at the end. Please e-mail me!! (runnerup2001@netscape.net) Sigh. I still don’t own Sailor Moon, so please don’t sue me. I haven’t made any money off of this. I’m just a poor little innocent writer with no money. OK, here’s the story. The end of Chapter 11- Alone Again Usagi could feel herself losing consciousness and struggled to deflect Beryl’s attack, but to no avail. She felt herself falling, falling, and then she was caught in Mamoru’s arms, then the landscape shimmered and changed, then everything went black. New Snow by Chichiri Chapter 12- Rabbit of the Moon and Final Battle Usagi opened her eyes and remembered Beryl’s attack. “Was it a dream?” she wondered aloud. “Mamo-chan caught me, where is he? Am I dead?” She rolled over and struggled to her knees. She looked around and the first thing she noticed was Mamoru laying beside her and the other eight warriors surrounding them. She looked down and saw blood where she had been laying. She reached out to touch it and determine if it was fresh, but stopped as pain tore through her shoulder. She looked at her shoulder and saw a gash where Beryl’s attack had hit her. “But Beryl’s attack was headed straight for my chest,” Usagi remembered. She closed her eyes and felt herself falling again. No, she had been pushed, pushed out of the way of Beryl’s attack. Her eyes snapped open. “Mamo-chan! He must have pushed me out of the way!” She crawled to his side and turned him over onto his back. She gasped when she saw the gash in his chest. “Mamo-chan!” “Where are we?” Ami asked groggily as she sat up. Usagi looked around again, briefly taking in the landscape, and replied, “We’re on the Moon.” Then she looked back down at Mamoru. She reached out, ignoring the pain in her shoulder while she supported herself on her good arm, brushing a loose strand of raven black hair away. “It’s okay,” she whispered. “Don’t worry. I’ll make everything all right.” Usagi closed her eyes and called the Imperium Silver Crystal into her hands once more. “Princess, please don’t use the Crystal,” Ami begged. “You’ll die! And we still need to defeat Beryl.” Usagi smiled at Ami and said quietly, “We can’t defeat Beryl if we’re all dead.” Ami began to protest again, but was interrupted by a new voice. “I will heal them, Princess, you needn’t worry. I’ll take care of everyone. You can put away your Crystal.” Usagi and Ami looked up to see a girl in dark purple Sailor fuku standing there. She held a tall staff in her small hand which she was leaning on. She looked pale and sick, but she offered them a warm smile. She reached out and touched Usagi’s wounded shoulder. The wound faded away. Then the girl knelt and held her hand over Mamoru’s chest. His wound disappeared as well. “Who are you?” Usagi asked. “I am Sailor Saturn,” the girl answered. “The Guardian of Death.” “You’re a Sailor Senshi?” Ami asked. “Yes, I am here to serve Princess Serenity,” Hotaru said. “Saturn? Then you’re a Senshi from our Universe,” Usagi said relieved. “Yes,” Hotaru replied. Then she stood and closed her eyes, leaning on her staff. A dark purple light came up from the ground and surrounded everyone. Then she opened her eyes and the light disappeared. “What did you do?” Ami asked uncertainly. “She healed us,” Usagi replied. Hotaru nodded, then said, “Aren’t you afraid of me?” “No, why?” Usagi asked. “Most people on Terra are afraid of me because I have healing powers. Other people who know me as Saturn are wary of me because I am the Guardian of Death,” Hotaru explained. “Really?” Usagi asked. “Well, I’m not afraid. Thank you very much for saving us. Can you tell me how we got to the Moon?” “I called you here.” Usagi turned and saw the spirit of Queen Serenity. “Come, we’ve been waiting.” She waved a hand and bubbles of light appeared around everyone. Queen Serenity led the bubbles back to the ruins of the palace. When they arrived at the palace ruins, Mamoru, the Senshi, and the Generals awoke and slowly stood up. Usagi leaned against Mamoru and he put an arm around her protectively. Usagi was startled to notice a group of people standing among the fallen pillars and crumbling walls of the palace. They, too, were in bubbles of light. “She has come, your Princess has returned,” Queen Serenity addressed the group of people. Then, turning to Usagi, she said, “The time has come for you to learn who you really are.” “What do you mean?” Usagi asked. “Who are all these people?” “These people are the descendants of the survivors after the fall of the Silver Millennium,” Queen Serenity explained. “There are some on each of the planets. After the Universe as they knew it had been destroyed, the few survivors created a home for themselves underground. These underground civilizations were created partly to hide from any evil that might be left, and partly because after the War the atmospheres of the planets became poisonous and could no longer sustain life. And these are the rest of your guard.” She gestured to Hotaru and three others dressed in Sailor fuku. “I am Tomoe Hotaru,” Hotaru said. “Sailor Saturn, the Guardian of Death.” “I am Tenou Haruka,” a girl in amber-colored Sailor fuku with short blonde hair said. “Sailor Uranus, the Guardian of Wind and earth.” “I am Kaiou Michiru,” a girl in aqua-colored Sailor fuku with shoulder length curly sea-green hair said. “Sailor Neptune, the Guardian of Water.” “And I am Meiou Setsuna,” a girl in black Sailor fuku with long green hair said. “Sailor Pluto, the Guardian of Time.” “But what did you mean about finding out who I am?” Usagi asked. “There is a legend,” Queen Serenity began, “that when the Universes are at war a girl will be born to save the Universes from destruction. She will have more power than anyone, she will be the most powerful being in the Universes. She will be born to the Moon Kingdom. The other royalty of the Moon bear a silver crescent moon on their forehead, but she will bear the mark of a golden crescent moon on her forehead. She is the Rabbit of the Moon, strong and gentle, swift and loving. Princess Serenity, you are the girl of that legend. You are the Rabbit of the Moon.” Queen Serenity paused and Usagi looked confused. “You were born during the worst war, the Great War of the Universes before I started the Silver Millennium. But the war against the Negaverse happened before you were ready to fight. Now, it is time for you to fight and save the Universes. It is your destiny as Rabbit of the Moon. “There is only one person who is equivalent to your power,” Queen Serenity continued. “That is your soulmate, Prince Endymion.” “But the legend can’t be true,” Usagi protested. “I failed you during the Silver Millennium, that is why you are just a spirit and why there is no longer a great civilization on the Moon.” “Serenity, it is true. You never failed us, your power had not matured then. Now you must return to fight for the freedom of the Universes, you must fight for our lost civilization, and one day you must start a new Silver Millennium.” Queen Serenity smiled proudly at her daughter. “But I’m the same age I was then, my power still hasn’t matured,” Usagi said. “Your power has matured. As royalty of the Moon your power matures at the age of sixteen, as Rabbit of the Moon your power matures earlier,” Queen Serenity explained. “But I am only fifteen, how do you know my power has matured?” Usagi asked. “Because you have your wings,” Queen Serenity said simply. “What?” Usagi asked, looking back. She was startled to see a pair of silvery-white wings sprouting from her back. Mamoru had a matching pair of black wings with a golden tint. “You have to go back now, you must hurry. There is not much time left before the Negaverse launches a full-scale attack on Terra. If the Negaverse attacks Terra, they may find the underground civilizations on the other planets.” Queen Serenity’s voice was urgent. “Are you ready to go back? I will send your other four Guardians with you to help you fight.” “Yes, I am ready.” Usagi tried unsuccessfully to stop her voice from shaking with fear. “Farewell, I know you will live up to your destiny.” Queen Serenity raised her hands and waved them. The landscape shimmered and changed again and they found themselves back at the edge of the forest where they had last been. It was dark and silent. “Beryl must have thought she defeated us,” Usagi said. “She must have returned to the palace. Now, how are we going to get your power crystals back?” Usagi said to the Inner Senshi. “All they have to do is use their planet’s crystal power,” Setsuna said. “Huh? How can we call on our planets if we don’t have the crystals?” Rei asked. “You don’t need the crystals,” Haruka said. “You just say, for instance, ‘Uranus Crystal Power’ and your crystals will be called back to you from wherever they are. Try it.” “Mars Crystal Power!” “Venus Crystal Power!” “Jupiter Crystal Power!” “Mercury Crystal Power!” “Our power crystals are back!” Minako said as they reappeared. “Now we can fight again!” “All right!” the others agreed. “Here’s the plan,” Usagi said. “You guys can form a distraction, try and destroy the Negaverse Sailor Senshi, or at least get rid of their powers somehow. I’ll go after Beryl--” “No, you’re not going alone. I’m coming with you,” Mamoru insisted. “You’re not fighting anyone alone.” “All right, Mamoru and I will go after Beryl while the rest of you create a distraction, all right?” Usagi looked around. “All right,” they agreed and Rei said, “But you have to promise to come back, okay?” “You have my word,” Usagi smiled. “I promise to come back.” “Then let’s go kick some Nega-butt!” Makoto said. “Wait here, we’ll distract the guards,” Minako said, leaving Usagi and Mamoru with the other Senshi and Generals while she, Makoto, Kunzite, and Nephrite crept out of the shadows. They pretended to try and sneak past the guards and then Minako pretended to trip. She fell into the others with a cry and Makoto turned around and said, “What’d you do that for? Now we have to fight them!” “Who are you?” the guards demanded. “I am Sailor Moon, Champion of Justice!” Minako winked into the shadows. “And on behalf of the Moon I’ll punish you!” Usagi and Mamoru led the others past the fight and rushed into the palace. “Hey! Someone went into the palace!” they heard one of the guards say as the door shut. “I’ll take care of them,” Ami said. “Mercury Ice Storm Blast!” The door was frozen shut with a sheet of ice. They continued through the palace. “I hear someone coming,” Haruka said as they walked through a hallway. “We’ll take care of it,” Ami said. Rei led Ami, Jedite, and Zoisite around a corner. The others went on without them. Farther down the hallway, the Negaverse Sailor Senshi appeared. “We’ll take care of them. You and Mamoru keep looking for Beryl,” Hotaru said. “I won’t let that Moon Twit Princess get away this time!” Sailor Nemesis said. “Watch us!” the Outer Senshi shouted. “Deep Submerge!” “World Shaking!” Usagi and Mamoru teleported to the throne room. It was empty. “Where is Beryl?” Usagi asked. “We have to find her.” She paused and then said suddenly, “Did you feel that?” “What?” Mamoru asked carefully. “That sudden build-up of negative energy,” Usagi said. Mamoru nodded grimly, then said, “I think Beryl opened a portal...” “...Which means she’ll invade Terra now,” Usagi finished. “We have to stop her!” “Right,” Mamoru said seriously. “Let’s teleport. We can track that wave of negative energy.” Usagi nodded. They appeared in a flat field a few miles from the palace. A swirling black hole hovered menacingly above the ground. Beryl stood beside the hole, watching as her troops disappeared into the black hole. The other Senshi and the Generals appeared behind Usagi and Mamoru. “You felt the build-up too?” Usagi asked quietly. They nodded. “We have to stop her! She’s invading Terra!” Makoto said. Beryl looked across the field directly at Usagi with an ice-cold glare. ‘If looks could kill...’ Usagi thought. As Beryl continued silently staring at her, Usagi knew what she had to do. That’s it for chapter 12! The next chapter is New Snow! The last real chapter. Chapter 14 is really short and I was going to have it on the end of the last chapter, but I didn’t want to end on chapter 13. (I’m not that superstitious, I just think 14 is a better number than 13! And 14 is my birthday in July!) Anyways, chapter 14 is just a lead-in to the sequel. Preview: the end of the final battle, death? and going home! So come back for the (almost) last chapter of New Snow! And PLEASE e-mail me! (runnerup2001@netscape.net) Pretty please? (runnerup2001@netscape.net) Talk to you later! (ie: when you e-mail me!)
