Hello again minna-san! I’m glad you’re still reading this! Thank you to everyone who sends me comments!!! I really appreciate it! Guess what? Only a few more chapters left! Aren’t you sad? Well, you’re probably happy, but I’m sad. But it’s not over yet! I have a prequel and a sequel to write! You’ll never be rid of me and my stories! Um, anyways, gomen nasai but this is another sad chapter. Like “get your tissues ready” sad. BUT, it’s the last sad chapter! No more crying after this chapter! Whoo-hoo! As you all know very well by now, I do not own Sailor Moon, although I really wish I did, then I’d be rich! BUT anyways, I’m not making any money off of this story and I don’t HAVE any money either, so please don’t sue me. On with the story! Here’s what happened at the end of chapter 10: “Thank you very much Princess Serenity,” Kunzite said with a bow. “You have saved us. Now we will help you find the other princesses.” “No you won’t! You’re traitors and you know what happens to traitors!” Everyone turned and saw a girl in Sailor fuku standing there. New Snow by Chichiri Chapter 11- Alone Again The girl’s outfit resembled Sailor Mars’s, but the red was very dark, almost black. She had dark brown eyes and red hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. Another girl appeared with an out fit that paralleled Sailor Venus’s, but the gold was almost black as well. She had green eyes and brown hair that she wore in a ponytail as well. “Who are you?” Rei demanded. “I am Sailor Ares!” the girl in dark red shouted. “And I am Sailor Aphrodite!” the girl in dark gold shouted. “What?” Usagi and Rei were shocked. “They are the Sailor Senshi of the Negaverse,” Kunzite explained. “That’s right,” Sailor Ares said coldly. “And you are the Four Generals of the Negaverse. If you don’t come with us now, we’ll make sure you never see another day!” “We won’t go,” Jedite said coolly. “Then you will die!” Sailor Aphrodite shouted. “Aphrodite Nightmare Chain Encircle!” She shot a twisting chain of dark energy at the Four Generals, but they dodged it. “Moon Crystal Power!” “Mars Power!” Usagi and Rei transformed and Rei shouted, “Mars Fire Ignite!” Her attack hit Sailor Aphrodite on the shoulder. “So you want to play with fire? All right!” Sailor Ares threatened. “Ares Dark Firelight!” “Moon Tiara Magic!” Usagi deflected Sailor Ares’s attack. “You’re Sailor Moon! You two are the last two of the Sailor Brats from the Universe of the Moon!” Sailor Aphrodite accused. “That’s right! I am Sailor Moon, Champion of Justice! And on behalf of the Moon, I will defeat the Negaverse!” Usagi shouted. “In that case, we’ll take you all! Aphrodite Nightmare Chain Encircle!” Sailor Aphrodite’s attack trapped Usagi in a chain of dark power. She struggled to get free, but to no avail. “Sailor Moon! Hold on!” Rei shouted. “Mars Firefly Spark!” Rei’s new attack sent a tiny spark of fire at Usagi. The spark lit the chain of dark energy and it disintegrated. “Thanks Sailor Mars,” Usagi said. “Sailor Moon, run!” Rei commanded. “No, I won’t leave you! I promised you I wouldn’t leave you!” Usagi protested. “Please, I don’t want you to get hurt!” Rei pleaded. “No, Rei-chan, I don’t want to lose you too!” Usagi cried. “I promise I’ll come back. I won’t leave you.” Rei smiled. “But--” Before Usagi could finish her sentence, Kunzite caught her in his arms. “Keep fighting with Sailor Mars,” he commanded. “I’ll take the Princess.” The Generals nodded and Kunzite teleported himself and Usagi away. “It’s been half an hour! Where are they?” Usagi asked worriedly. “I’m sure they’re fine,” Kunzite reassured her. As if on cue, Rei burst into the room where Kunzite and Usagi were waiting. “There you are! I’m so glad you’re all right!” Rei said running to Usagi and giving her a hug. Jedite and Nephrite followed. “Where’s Zoisite?” Kunzite asked. “They got him,” Nephrite replied quietly. “Rei-chan, I’m so glad you’re back!” Usagi exclaimed. “I was so worried I’d never see you again!” “Hey, I promised that I’d come back to you,” Rei said. “And I’ll never break a promise to my Princess or my best friend.” “We’re going to have to hurry to save the princesses now that they know you’re here and who you are,” Kunzite said gravely. Usagi and the others nodded their heads in silent agreement. “Since there are two areas where prisoners are kept, I think we should split up,” Kunzite continued. “Jedite and Nephrite, why don’t you go with Lady Rei to the castle dungeons. I will go with the Princess to the hidden dungeons. We will meet back here in an hour. Try not to teleport because they will sense your energy. That is especially true for you, Princess.” “All right, sir,” Jedite and Nephrite agreed. “Rei, promise you’ll come back, okay?” Usagi asked. “I’ll try,” Rei said. Then she left with Jedite and Nephrite. “We’ll go out the back way,” Kunzite said, holding the door for Usagi. They walked down a hallway until it appeared to come to an end. But Kunzite concentrated and a door opened in the wall. Kunzite and Usagi walked through into darkness. The door shut behind them. Usagi’s body glowed with a silvery light that lit up the darkness. The darkness always lit up for Usagi, unless she wished it to be dark. “Is the light okay, or do you want it to be dark?” Usagi asked. “The light is fine for now,” Kunzite replied. They walked through the semi-darkness in silence for a while. Suddenly Usagi stopped. “Something’s wrong,” she said. “The others are in trouble.” “I feel it a little bit,” Kunzite said. “It’s Rei,” Usagi said, her voice full of concern. “We have to find her. We have to teleport.” “But if we teleport, then the Negaverse warriors will trace your energy,” Kunzite pointed out. “I don’t care. Rei is in trouble and I never should have left her,” Usagi insisted. “Are you coming or not?” “Of course I’m coming,” Kunzite replied. With that, the two disappeared. When Usagi and Kunzite reappeared they were at the bottom of a stairway in a dungeon. A scream pierced the air and Usagi sprinted around the corner in the direction the scream had come from, Kunzite followed. As Usagi rounded the corner, she saw Rei. Rei was collapsed on the floor screaming in pain. Nephrite and Jedite knelt next to her. Usagi knelt by Rei’s head and said softly, “I’m here Rei-chan, it’s okay.” She stroked Rei’s forehead. “Can you tell what’s wrong?” Kunzite asked. Nephrite and Jedite shook their heads. “It’s the Negaverse,” Usagi replied. “It’s taking over her. Stand back.” Usagi stood and called the Imperium Silver Crystal into her hands. “Imperium Silver Crystal Healing Power!” Usagi said softly. The Imperium Silver Crystal began to give off a silver light that surrounded Usagi. In Sailor Moon’s place stood Princess Serenity. The light of the Crystal moved to Rei and surrounded her. When the light disappeared, Rei lay on the floor unconscious. Princess Serenity faded back to Sailor Moon. Rei opened her eyes and saw Usagi smiling faintly down at her. Then Usagi crumpled to the ground and lay motionless. “No!” Rei shouted, crawling over to Usagi’s side. “Why did you let her do this?” “She did it too quickly,” Nephrite explained. “We had no time to react.” “There they are!” a guard shouted as he rounded the corner. “Mars Firebird Strike!” Rei’s attack easily defeated the guards. Then Rei turned back to Usagi. “Mars Crisis Fire Surround!” Usagi’s body was surrounded by a ring of glowing flames and she disappeared just as the Negaverse Sailor Senshi appeared. “Their Princess got away!” Sailor Ares shouted. “Ares Dark Firelight!” Sailor Ares’s attack struck Rei on the shoulder. The blast broke Rei’s concentration on teleporting Usagi away. ‘Oh no!’ Rei thought. ‘I hope Usagi is all right. I wonder where she ended up?’ Aloud she said, “That’s right! Princess Serenity is free and safe! No matter what you do now, you can’t hurt her. As long as Serenity lives, there is hope. She will defeat you!” “I’m so scared,” a new Negaverse Sailor Senshi spoke in a sarcastic tone. She was dressed in a dark bluish-black outfit. She had green eyes and blonde hair that fell loosely around her chin. “I am Sailor Hermes!” “I am Sailor Ares!” “I am Sailor Aphrodite!” “I am Sailor Zeus!” She was dressed in greenish-black with blue eyes and a blonde ponytail. “And I am Sailor Nemesis!” She was dressed in a very dark shade of gray-blue and she had dark blue eyes. Two braids hung from buns on either side of her head in a hairstyle that imitated Usagi’s, except it was braided. “We are the Negaverse Warriors, and we will defeat you! You don’t stand a chance against us! We will crush you and your stupid little Princess! Nemesis Crystal Power!” A blast of black energy shot out of her hands and surrounded Rei, Kunzite, Jedite, and Nephrite in a dome of dark power. Then Sailor Aphrodite shouted, “Aphrodite Nightmare Chain Encircle!” Rei and the Generals were trapped with no way out. Usagi remained unconscious while Rei teleported her away, but she was still somewhat aware of her surroundings. She could feel Rei’s fire energy surrounding her and her body was too weak to protest. But suddenly the fire let go and she could feel herself floating through space. She felt her body hit the ground somewhere and then she stopped being aware of her surroundings. “I let her down. We all got caught,” Rei sighed. “Now she’s all alone and I have no idea where she is. She hates being alone and she’s not far enough away to be safe because Sailor Ares broke my teleportation spell too soon. Not only that, Usagi is weak from using the Crystal, which is my fault too. I should have known she’d try to heal me with the Crystal.” “How come the Crystal didn’t work the last time she used it on you?” Jedite asked. “Because she didn’t really use her power then. She used the Crystal’s power without her own power. This time she used her power, I could feel it.” Rei sighed again. The four of them had been caught and stripped of their powers. The Negaverse Sailor Senshi had taken Rei’s power crystal and drawn the magic out of the Generals. Without her power crystal, Rei couldn’t transform, which didn’t really matter since she was already transformed, but she also couldn’t call upon her powers. Now they were waiting in a cell, but they didn’t know what they were waiting for. “All right,” Sailor Nemesis said appearing in front of them. “It’s time for you to join your friends.” Suddenly they found themselves in another cell. Rei gasped when she noticed Ami, Minako, Makoto, and Zoisite frozen in crystals against the wall. “We have to save them!” Rei determined. “We can do it together if we combine our life energies. Ready?” The Generals nodded. They joined hands and concentrated on melting the crystal prisons. After a while the crystal prisons melted away and released their prisoners. Kunzite held Minako, Nephrite held Makoto, Rei held Ami, and Jedite held Zoisite. Soon enough, they began to stir. “Rei?” Ami asked. “Where are we? ... Oh, never mind... I remember. Did they get you too?” Rei nodded grimly, then recounted what had happened. “We have to find Usagi. We must protect her. Since we don’t have our power crystals, we’ll have to use our life energy,” Rei finished seriously. The others nodded, equally serious. “Let’s all join hands and get ready to teleport,” Makoto said, taking charge. “Jupiter Star Power!” “Mars Star Power!” “Venus Star Power!” “Mercury Star Power!” The Generals added their power as well and then the group found themselves surrounding Usagi. She was still unconscious. They looked around and saw that they were near a forest. The lights of the palace where they had come from twinkled on the horizon. The stars were covered in the distance by a blanket of clouds that flashed and rumbled every now and then with thunder and lightning. The eight warriors set to work combining their energies together to form a protective shield around their Princess. The shield shone red, blue, green, and gold and then became invisible. Almost completely drained of their life energies, the eight warriors fell to the ground unconscious around their Princess. The clouds on the horizon moved swiftly across the sky, shutting out the starlight. Usagi could feel rain falling on her face and wondered where she was. She opened her eyes suddenly as thunder echoed through the sky. She sat up quickly. The rain flashed red, blue, green, and gold as it fell through the dome of energy around Usagi. Usagi stood up slowly and then her eyes landed on Makoto’s fallen body. She turned around slowly and saw the other seven warriors on the ground around her. “No,” she whispered. “How could you do this? No!” Usagi fell to her knees, shaking with tears. A flash of lightning ripped the clouds, followed by a crash of thunder. Usagi cringed and her face twisted with pain. “I’m all alone again,” Usagi sobbed. “I’m all alone.” ~Flashback to the Silver Millennium (get the tissues ready!)~ Usagi ran through the gardens. She was three years old. Her tiny pigtails flew out behind her from the two balls on either side of her head. Her gray-blue eyes were filled with fear. The sky was black and filled with the sounds of war. “Mommy! Daddy!” Usagi cried, blinking back tears. She looked back at the ruins of the house where she had been hidden for safety. Usagi turned and fled again as the sky echoed with thunder. It sounded like a monster. Usagi ran faster. Soon she came to the town, or rather what had once been the town. Burnt skeletons of buildings stood naked among ashes. A few flames still flickered throughout the burnt-out town. Tears flowed down Usagi’s cheeks. Her face was flushed from running. “Is anyone here?” Usagi asked, her voice barely above a whisper. A great silence prevailed and then the sounds of war continued. “Serenity! There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” a man said running toward the young girl shaking with fear. He enfolded her in his arms. “Daddy,” she whispered, cuddling into his arms. “There he is!” Malachite(not Kunzite) shouted. “That’s their King!” King Hyperion did not turn around. He put one hand over Usagi’s mouth and held her closer to his body. He concentrated very hard and Malachite and his warriors fell to the ground. King Hyperion got to his feet and ran to the forest beyond the ashes of the town. He stood Usagi against a tree and bound her there with a chain of magic so she wouldn’t run after him. Then he turned and went back to the ruins of the town where Malachite was waiting for him. Usagi struggled silently to break the magic that held her. She could hear groans of pain coming from where her father and Malachite were fighting. She kept struggling harder and harder. After a while, Usagi heard silence. She fought harder to break the magic. “Daddy,” she whispered desperately. “Please be okay. Magical Chain, please let me go.” At her last words the chain of magic disappeared. Usagi ran back to the ash village and then stopped in her tracks. King Hyperion lay on the ground motionless. Usagi ran to his side, but there was no life left in him. Fresh tears flowed down her cheeks. Rain began to fall as the heavens mourned the loss of this King. Lightning tore the sky and thunder roared. “I’m all alone!” Usagi cried. A golden crescent moon appeared on her forehead as she cried harder. Usagi curled up next to her father, the light from her forehead and the flashes of lightning the only light in the black storm. ~End Flashback~ Usagi’s heart filled with fear at the next crash of thunder. She knelt down next to Makoto’s motionless body. She was surprised and greatly relieved to find that Makoto was breathing. Makoto’s breathing was barely noticeable, but it was there, she was alive. Usagi walked around the circle of fallen warriors and found that they were all alive, barely. Suddenly, Usagi felt a wave of negative energy sweep over her on a gust of wind. Usagi took the Star Locket from around her neck and held it into the air and whispered, “Mamo-chan, I need a sword!” The Star Locket glowed with a soft golden-silver light and then a sword appeared, floating in the air in front of Usagi. She grabbed it and it flashed gold and silver, then faded. ‘I promise to come back. No matter what happens, I promise I’ll come back.’ Usagi’s last words to Shingo echoed in her mind. “I will come back!” Usagi said, her voice full of determination. “And so will all my friends!” “There you are, you stupid little Moon Twit!” Usagi spun around and gasped. It was like looking into a mirror. The girl looked exactly like Usagi. “Who are you?” Usagi managed to find her voice. “Can’t you tell? I’m you, I’m your worst nightmare,” the girl replied with a wicked smile. “Take this!” She shot a black dagger of power at Usagi. Usagi recovered her senses and swiftly deflected the attack with her sword. “I am Sailor Moon, Champion of Justice! On behalf of the Moon I’ll punish you!” “You wouldn’t hurt yourself, would you?” the girl asked in a falsely innocent voice. “You’re not me,” Usagi said, but her voice shook with uncertainty. “Yes I am,” the girl crooned. “Look at us. We’re the same. You fight for the Moon and I fight for the NegaMoon. We are the same.” Usagi was dropping her guard as she was pulled into the girl’s spell. The girl prepared to shoot another dagger at Usagi. “I call upon the power of Mercury! Shine Aqua Illusion!” Sailor Mercury’s powered-up attack caught Usagi’s look-alike off guard. When Mercury’s Illusion hit the girl, her resemblance to Usagi faded. She had fiery red hair and dark green eyes. She looked at Usagi who was about to speak, but cut her off. “That’s right, it was an illusion. My name is Nightmare and I have powers of illusion. Now, you’ll die!” She shot another dagger at Usagi. Usagi deflected it with the sword saying, “That’s for Shingo!” Then Nightmare rushed at Usagi, but Usagi kicked her back and said, “That’s for Mamo-chan!” Then Usagi raised the sword and shoved it through Nightmare’s stomach. “That’s for my fallen friends and the fate of the Universes!” Nightmare fell back with a look of utter shock on her face. “I’m sorry I failed you mother,” she barely managed to croak out with her last breath. Then she lay motionless on the ground in a growing pool of blood. Thunder cracked overhead and lightning suddenly illuminated the image of Queen Beryl in the shadows of the trees. Beryl’s face was twisted with anger. “You fool! Nightmare was my daughter! How could you kill her like that?” Beryl demanded. Usagi was speechless. She turned to look for Sailor Mercury, but she had fallen again. Beryl continued, “I don’t need Metallia to help me now, I am powerful enough. I will defeat you. You are nothing but a simple naive little Moon Twit, not worthy of ruling the Universes. You have no hope left. First I will defeat you, and then I will defeat your Universe. The Universe that you know as yours will cease to exist.” Beryl’s crystal ball lit up the darkness and then a dagger of dark power shot out of it at Usagi. Usagi could feel herself losing consciousness and struggled to deflect Beryl’s attack, but to no avail. She felt herself falling, falling, and then she was caught in Mamoru’s arms, then the landscape shimmered and changed, then everything went black. That’s it for chapter 11 peoples!
